The Emerald Empress is free from incarceration and trying to find the secret to immortality. Having sent beings on her behest, she is not satisfied with their lack of progress and decides to kill them. She then go on her own to find information and is in the same area as the Invisible Kid. The Invisible Kid calls in for assistance from his fellow Legionnaires and tries to slow the Emerald Empress down. He is able to place the Emerald Eye in a stasis field before the Empress arrives and handles him. However, the Legion arrives to battle the Empress. After a long chase and battle, the Emerald Empress is able to hold Polar Boy captive, threating to kill him if the Legion continue to pursue her.
